Abdul Azad is a founding member of the American Nepali Muslim Society (ANMS) and the first person to champion the idea of creating a single inclusive platform for all American Nepali Muslims. His vision is simple yet powerful: to build a community where every individual, regardless of background, age, or status, has an equal opportunity to grow, contribute and succeed together.
Working as a mechanical engineer since 2014, Abdul Azad has spent over seven years in the USA, gaining not only professional expertise but also a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by immigrants and minorities communities. He actively uses this experience to guide, mentor and support diverse individuals, students, professionals, new immigrants and families, as they navigate life in America.
Through ANMS, Abdul Azad is committed to establishing a clear path and practical processes that uplift American Nepali Muslims socially, educationally and economically, while also building bridges with other communities at large. His work reflects his core belief, “Progress is most meaningful when it is shared, inclusive and rooted in mutual respect.”
Abdul Azad continues to play a key role in shaping ANMS’s direction, ensuring that the organization remains grounded in service, unity and long-term community empowerment.
